BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE On Nov. 10, three new Board of Directors were welcomed – Rick Baird, Chuck Hanson and Chuck Hubbard. A big word of THANKS was expressed to the outgoing Directors – President Phil Bolstad, Secretary Jane Edwards and Treasurer Michele Shapero for their several years of service.

Amended by-laws has made a provision for the past president to remain on the board. Phil Bolstad will be welcomed as past president to serve for two more years. Other board members are Bruce Peck and JoLynn Yenne. Also, amended to the by-laws was a provision to have seven board of directors. The seventh position still needs to be filled. Interested individuals, please contact JoLynn Yenne 756-8993, Phil Bolstad at 837-6009 or pick up information at the Bigfork Community Center Monday, Wednesday or Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Membership drive New membership in by-laws: “Supporter”; The Bigfork Area Association of Senior Citizens/Bigfork Community Center are inviting businesses, organizations, churches and individuals to become a non-voting member with a $25 yearly contribution to show their support for the Center’s outreach in the community. To show appreciation for their support, “Supporter” memberships will be published in the Center’s monthly newsletter.

Activities

December Activities at the Center sponsored by the Bigfork Area Association of Senior Citizens – (All are opened to the general public.) For more information call 837-4157. * Thursday, Dec. 1, 10:30 a.m. (Please note time correction) Class 3 “A gift in a Mason Jar” Using decorated mason jars for dry ingredients from popular recipes. A perfect gift for a beginning cook, for busy moms and dads. You will sample prepared recipes for a light lunch. Fee: $3 members, $5 non members. * Thursday, Dec. 8, Monthly noon potluck luncheon * Tuesday, Dec. 13, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. “HOLIDAY BITES AND BINGO” Potluck Appetizers for a light lunch – bring holiday appetizer to share with 12 to 15 people, include recipe. Bingo Cards $2 each or 3 cards for $5…some cash prizes.

CHURCH HISTORY Announcement: looking for people who have knowledge about the history of our local churches that have been in existence for 50 years or more, for a possible speaker series in the new year. Please call Joelynn Yenne at 756-8992 if you have an interest in this program.
