We invite all community seniors to attend our second Thursday of the month potluck dinners at noon – every month at your bigfork community center – socialize and keep in touch with your friends. This month is our annual meeting, time to renew your membership, elect board members, hear reports on the past 2017 activities and what activities are planned for 2018.

• Meals on Wheels program with deliveries to home available to seniors who are homebound. Call 837-4157. • Monthly potluck lunches at 12:00 noon the second Thursday of each month followed by a general meeting of members for discussion with your community center and promote interest in future activities. • AARP driver class will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,Thursday Nov. 15 at the community/senior. WEEKLY MEALS • We will continue on our regular schedule of congregate meals – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week. Nov. 27 - Grilled chicken on whole grain bun, honey mustard potato salad, fruit yogurt WEDNESDAYS Nov. 8 - Spaghetti w/ meat sauce Vegetable garlic toast Nov. 15 - Polish sausage on whole grain bun, sauerkraut, parsley potatoes. • Knitting Group A knitting group is continuing to meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday. Anyone interested is invited to join. Knitting lessons are available and beginners, experienced, and other fiber crafts are also encouraged to attend. Sitting positions accepted. Wear loose comfortable clothing. From Harvard Health Letter: TAI CHI – A gentle exercise that may help heal your heart. The slow, flowing movements are never forced, and your muscles remain relaxed rather than tensed. You don’t have to get on the floor. The sequence of movements can be done standing or while seated in a chair.
