Child Bridge links foster kids to foster parents

Across Montana, nearly 4,000 children have been removed from their biological families due to severe abuse or neglect, over 200 of them are in the Flathead Valley alone. With less than half the families required to care for these children, the need for more foster/adoptive families is critical.

The Child Bridge mission is laser-focused: to find foster and adoptive families for Montana’s child victims of abuse and neglect and to equip those families to care for children who have experienced trauma.

You can support the mission of Child Bridge in several different ways:

1. Come alongside Child Bridge again to provide safe, well-equipped families for even more local children by giving a tax-deductible donation. We are 100% privately funded 501c3 and we cannot do our work without the generous support of donors. https://www.childbridgemontana.org/give-now.html

2. Speak up for Montana children in need by purchasing a license plate that supports foster and adoptive care!

By purchasing this specialty license plate you're supporting Child Bridge and funds raised through the purchase will assist in our ongoing local and statewide recruiting and support efforts to ensure that all children will have a family to care for them in their time of need.

The special (406)-2-Foster number is auto-directed to Child Bridge and will help build awareness of the need for foster and adoptive families and guide interested families on the journey by connecting with Child Bridge.

Ask your county treasurer's office or motor vehicle registration department to issue you Child Bridge plates. Or, for more information about ordering at the Montana Department of Justice website, go to:

3. Make up a "Just for You" box for children. “Just for You” boxes are a simple way to comfort a child while they are awaiting their social worker to provide them with a suitable placement. They will take this box with them to their new foster home. Since many children enter the foster system with very few belongings, the psychological importance of these boxes filled with new items for them cannot be underestimated. Age/gender specific clear tubs are filled with new child essentials and extra’s.
